Job Description

The Sapphire Business Development Manager position will work in key territories (CO, UT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS) with a focus on identifying and developing opportunities for new potential businesses.  This position will include identifying potential customers and working to develop gas solutions specific to the customers’ needs. This role will work directly with the Chief Commercial Officer in the development and execution of turnkey projects that deliver renewable natural gas (“RNG”), liquefied natural gas (“LNG”), and compressed natural gas (“CNG”) for direct consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales pipelines for each business sector in a specific sales territory (CO, UT, WY, ND, SD, NE, KS).
  • Managing CRM and tracking of all customer interactions
  • Schedule customer meetings for each business sector
  • Assist the client to identify the exact need and solve the problem
  • Manage and call on leads by each business sector.
  • Develop and provide sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Identify potential opportunities and articulate turnkey solutions.
  • Develop detailed sales plans per business sector.
  • Maintain an effective sales approach.
  • Actively seek out business opportunities
  • Develop, execute, and oversee a business strategy that prioritizes growth.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with clients.
  • Use financial techniques to improve sales revenue.
  • Monitor sales progress to ensure that corporate goals are being met.
  • Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
  • Promote the company’s products or services to prospective clients.
  • Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
  • Provide continuous, constructive feedback to key stakeholders.
  • Review sales contracts to ensure they meet legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Interact with clients and respond to inquiries about the company’s products or services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • US Military Veteran, National Guard/Reserve member, or Military Spouse preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or other preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in large industrial & energy business development or sales or related experience preferred.
  • 3 years of industrial field B2B business development experience
  • Experience with CRM Software and ability to manage contacts.
  • Experience in customer service, marketing, or direct customer sales-related field
  • Exceptional project management skills with a proven record of sales growth
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with successful leadership skills
  • Able to use personal computer software proficiently.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to respond to customers with courtesy and knowledge, in person, and by telephone, applying good judgment and customer service skills.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Present and maintain a good driving record to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
  • Capacity to learn and adapt; problem-solving.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
